ASRT Donates $10,000 in Support of Wildfire, Hurricane Relief Efforts

Sep 04, 2020

The American Society of Radiologic Technologists has donated $10,000 on behalf of its members to the American Red Cross to assist with disaster relief efforts for individuals affected by the wildfires in California and Hurricane Laura.

Two fires in California — the LNU Lightning Complex fire and the SCU Lightning Complex fire — are among California’s largest wildfires in recorded history. In addition, as many as 21,000 people in Louisiana and east Texas remain in emergency lodging where Hurricane Laura devastated entire communities. More than 272,000 households are still without power.

ASRT has a close relationship with the American Red Cross as the Society believes the best way to support those in need is through donations to an established disaster relief organization. ASRT has made a number of financial donations to the American Red Cross in the last several years for hurricane, tornado and flooding disaster relief efforts.
