Joseph Whitton

At the 2020 ASRT Virtual Special Meeting of the House of Delegates, delegates re-elected Joseph Whitton, M.S., R.T.(R)(CT)(MR), FASRT, as speaker of the House and Daniel DeMaio, M.Ed., R.T.(R)(CT), as vice speaker of the House.

This is Whitton’s second term as speaker. He formerly served as the vice speaker for the 2016-2017 and 2018-2019 terms. Whitton is the clinical assistant professor/program director at Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, New York.

Daniel DeMaio

This is DeMaio’s second term as vice speaker as he served in the role during the 2019-2020 term. DeMaio is the director of the radiologic technology program at the University of Hartford in West Hartford, Connecticut.

Whitton and DeMaio are members of the ASRT Board of Directors. They will manage the House of Delegates proceedings during the 2021 ASRT Annual Governance and House of Delegates Meeting.
