Joseph Whitton

At the 2019 ASRT Annual Governance and House of Delegates Meeting in Orlando, the ASRT House of Delegates elected Joseph Whitton, M.S., R.T.(R)(CT)(MR), as speaker of the House and Daniel DeMaio, M. Ed., R.T.(R)(CT), as vice speaker of the House for the 2019-2020 term.

This is Whitton’s first term as speaker. He formerly served as the vice speaker for the 2016-2017 and 2018-2019 terms. Whitton is the clinical assistant professor/program director at Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, New York.

Daniel DeMaio

This is DeMaio’s first term as vice speaker. He was the Education Chapter chairman and delegate and the chairman of the Commission. In addition, he has served on the Connecticut Society of Radiologic Technologists board. DeMaio is the department chair, associate professor of radiography and radiography program director at University of Hartford in West Hartford, Connecticut.

Whitton and DeMaio are members of the ASRT Board of Directors. They will manage the House of Delegates proceedings at the 2020 annual governance meeting in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
