Poster entries can include Radiation Therapist and Medical Dosimetrists, but at least one person on the poster must be a student at the time of entry. Students must be enrolled in an accredited radiation therapy or medical dosimetry program. Winners will be required to verify their status as a student. Each contestant must provide a valid email address upon entry to be considered eligible. Entries without valid contact will be disqualified.

One student per poster. Must be a current ASRT member. A poster entered in the competition must be an original project and cannot receive a grade for another class or have been previously presented. The poster may not bear the name of the student(s) or technologist(s) prior to judging. The contest will be open Sept. 9, 2026, through Jan. 11, 2027.

Poster display subject matter will be chosen by the participant and must relate to radiation therapy or medical dosimetry. The topic may be presented through text, supplemented by charts, descriptive material, technical factors, photographs and whatever is deemed necessary. All materials must be contained within a slide for PowerPoint presentation.

Poster displays should demonstrate originality of subject matter and general interest and value to technologists from both practical and educational standpoints and should display technical excellence. Poster should not show images or markings that could identify the patient, institution, department or participant(s) submitting the poster.

Poster displays should not contain excessive descriptive explanation. A well-presented display requires minimum explanation and uses correct grammar, punctuation and spelling. The display should speak for itself. It must be legible and clearly organized.

A minimum of five sources from medical imaging or radiation therapy journals, books or websites is required. Radiation therapy or medical dosimetry-related websites must be from credible sources (.org, .edu, .gov), and websites are limited to three for poster content. Sources must be no older than five years.

Posters will be judged by ASRT staff. Posters not conforming to specifications noted above will be disqualified.

By participating in the contest, each entrant certifies that his or her entry is original and does not contain any material that would violate or infringe upon the rights of any third party, including copyrights, trademarks or rights or privacy or publicity. ASRT reserves the right in its sole and unfettered discretion to disqualify and remove any entry that it believes contains obscene, offensive or inappropriate content, that violates laws or regulations, that does not comply with these official rules or that is not consistent with the spirit or theme of the contest.

In addition, by participating in the contest, each entrant grants to ASRT and its licensees and designees a nonexclusive, worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, transferable, fully paid and royalty-free license to copy, exhibit, display, publicly perform, create derivative works based on and otherwise use the entry. Except where prohibited by law, each entrant grants to ASRT and its licensees and designees a nonexclusive, worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, transferable, fully paid and royalty-free license to use the entrant’s name, photograph, likeness, statements, biographical information, voice, and city and state address for promotional or advertising purposes in connection with the contest on a national basis, and in all forms of media, now or hereafter known, in perpetuity, without review, permission or further compensation.
