  • What You'll Learn

Implementing adaptive radiotherapy requires more than access to advanced technology. It requires radiation therapists who understand the principles of adaptive radiotherapy, can contribute confidently within a multidisciplinary team and are prepared to apply new knowledge in the clinical setting to deliver more personalized patient care.

This webinar examines practical approaches for developing radiation therapist readiness for adaptive practice. The new ASRT Adaptive Radiation Therapy CE curriculum provides a common educational foundation that departments can build upon through site-specific training, defined roles, consistent processes and hands-on clinical application. Speakers will explore how teams can assess preparedness, strengthen multidisciplinary alignment and reinforce learning as radiation therapists move from education into practice.

Using perspectives from education, clinical physics, leadership and frontline radiation therapy, the discussion will address the skills and competencies radiation therapists need, effective approaches to training and competency validation, common barriers to implementation and the evolving radiation therapist role in patient-centered adaptive care. Attendees will leave with practical considerations for supporting radiation therapist development and building team readiness for adaptive clinical workflows.

    Objectives

After this presentation, the attendee will be able to:
