Are you new to radiologic technology? Do you want to know how to engage in advocacy? Then the Engaging New Technologists: Becoming Better Advocates for the Profession continuing education program is for you!

ASRT’s Government Relations Department is offering this four-part series that will give technologists who are new to the profession and new to advocacy the fundamental knowledge and skills to confidently advocate for the profession.


The modules will tackle key aspects of advocacy, providing both a broad overview and a focused R.T.-specific view. Each one-hour stand-alone session offers 1 continuing education credit, for a total of 4 CE credits for the full series.

Advocacy 101

Sept. 6, 6 p.m. MT

This session will introduce participants to what advocacy is, why it’s important and the processes they can use to accomplish their advocacy goals.

Sept. 13, 6 p.m. MT

Learn the ins-and-outs of advocacy for the radiologic technology profession. In particular, the session covers the ways in which public policy impacts the profession at federal, state and local levels.

Sept. 20, 6 p.m. MT

Hear from ASRT’s Committee on RT Advocacy and ASRT board members to learn why advocacy is important to them and how they balance the demands of advocacy with their personal and professional lives.

This session will provide a broad overview of sessions 1-3, key takeaways of the advocacy process and discussion on creating next steps to engage with the ASRT advocacy program.
