The ASRT Advocacy Training Program gives ASRT members the opportunity to learn how to effect positive change in the standards and regulations guiding the profession, as well as the skills they will need to protect the profession against future perils.

Course Topics

The ASRT Advocacy Training Program (ATP) is moderated through a private group established in the ASRT Communities. Learning takes place through online-narrated learning modules, discussion posts, conference calls and hands-on projects.

Module 1
Who and What Makes a Good Advocate?

 July 10 - 16, 2022

Objectives:
  • Identify advocacy development opportunities for affiliate societies.
  • Identify skills that individuals may already have to assist them in becoming strong advocates for the profession.
  • Develop skills to help make fellow R.T.s, patients and employers aware of professional issues.
  • Enhance the visibility of the profession in the health care community.

Strategic Planning for Advocacy Efforts

Module 3
Researching the Issues and the Legalities of Lobbying

Module 4
Working With Change Leaders
