The ASRT Foundation has named 50 American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Professional Education and Growth recipients for 2025-26. Awardees must join an active ASRT affiliate society and each recipient receives up to $500 reimbursement for the cost of continuing education, educational conferences (including meals and transportation), and ARRT primary or secondary certification exams.

Applicants are required to submit a short essay answering the question, “How does acquiring and maintaining ARRT certification and registration improve patient care?” One recipient, Amanda Wilson of Patchogue, New York, answered in part, “Acquiring and maintaining ARRT certification is more than a professional milestone, it’s a direct investment in patient safety, quality and trust. This nationally recognized credential ensures that imaging and radiation therapy professionals meet rigorous standards in clinical skills, ethics and continuing education. Patients can be assured that their care is delivered by someone who is not only technically skilled but also deeply committed to ethics and excellence.”

ASRT Foundation committee volunteers and staff donors review and rate blinded essays. At least one recipient per active affiliate is selected based on the essay score.
