ARRT Professional Education and Growth Grant

The grant program, funded by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, supports active ASRT affiliates by providing up to one recipient per affiliate each year with a reimbursement of up to $500. Funds may be used for continuing education, educational conferences (including meals and transportation) or ARRT primary or postprimary certification exams.

Education is the first element of ARRT’s Equation for Excellence (education + ethics + examination). It plays a vital role when earning primary or postprimary certification and throughout a professional’s career, ensuring that knowledge and skills remain current in an ever-evolving health care industry.

Eligibility

  • All applicants must be active ASRT members, or eligible to become an ASRT member, and must reside within the continental United States, Hawaii or Alaska.
  • Applicants also must be a current member of an active ASRT affiliate (as defined by the ASRT Bylaws) or be eligible to become a member of an affiliate society.
  • ASRT Foundation Board of Trustees, ASRT Board of Directors, ASRT staff and their immediate family members are not eligible to apply.

What Is Eligible for Reimbursement

  • Affiliate membership dues
  • ARRT primary or postprimary certification exams
  • Continuing education products, including textbooks that are approved by a recognized continuing education evaluation mechanism for CE credit
  • First-time ASRT membership dues
  • Registration costs, meals and transportation for educational conferences for CE credit

What Is Not Eligible for Reimbursement

  • Academic course tuition
  • ASRT membership renewal
  • ASRT SEAL exams
  • Hotel fees
  • State license fees
  • Non-RCEEM-approved textbooks for academic courses

Grant recipients can only submit one reimbursement request with qualified receipts for expenses between October of the award year and August of the year following their grant notification. Receipts that are not submitted on time will not be eligible for reimbursement. Multiple reimbursement requests will not be accepted. This award has no cash value and is nontransferable.
