Site-Wide Callout

The ASRT Foundation has named 50 American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Professional Education and Growth Grant recipients for 2026-27. Awardees must be an active member of an ASRT affiliate society, and each recipient receives up to $500 reimbursement for the cost of continuing education, educational conferences (including meals and transportation) or ARRT primary or postprimary certification exams.

Applicants are required to submit a short essay answering the question “How does acquiring and maintaining ARRT certification and registration improve patient care?” One recipient, Maxwell Telfer, R.T.(T), of Lithia Springs, Georgia, and a member of the Georgia Society of Radiologic Technologists, answered in part, “As a radiation therapist, I have seen day to day how acquiring and maintaining ARRT certification positively influences patient care. ARRT certification ensures that health care professionals meet rigorous educational, clinical and ethical standards. This is imperative because patients trust us with their safety.”

ASRT Foundation committee volunteers and staff donors review and rate blinded essays. At least one recipient per active affiliate is selected based on the essay score.
