When you transition into a leadership role, you don’t always have the right tools at your disposal. That's why we’ve created the ASRT Leadership Academy. This program is designed for medical imaging and radiation therapy professionals who want to serve in volunteer leadership roles with ASRT or our affiliate societies. The ASRT Advocacy Training Program gives ASRT members the opportunity to learn how to effect positive change in the standards and regulations guiding the profession, as well as the skills they will need to protect the profession against future perils.

Through this 17-week course, you’ll learn about advocacy, important principles of leadership and association management. Online courses will cover topics like communication, policy and procedure development, membership, recruitment, public relations, parliamentary procedures, strategic planning and advocacy.

In addition to the online courses, participants will receive complementary airfare and lodging to attend a two-day wrap-up training session in March of 2027 at the ASRT office in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

This program is moderated through a private group established in the ASRT Communities. Learning takes place through online-narrated learning modules, discussion posts, conference calls and hands-on projects.
