Oklahoma Licensure Bill Passes Senate

Senate Bill 782, a bill to license radiologic technologists in Oklahoma, recently passed the Oklahoma Senate with a 36 to 8 vote in favor of the bill.

Currently Oklahoma licenses only radiologist assistants through the state medical board. Sen. Paul Scott, R.T.(R), an ASRT member and owner of Sooner Mobile X-ray in Duncan, Oklahoma, introduced the bill The Oklahoma Society of Radiologic Technologists is working with Sen. Scott and Rep. Tess Teague to refine the bill as it moves to the Oklahoma House of Representatives.
