ASRT House of Delegates Elects Speaker and Vice Speaker

On Sunday, June 20, 2021, at the American Society of Radiologic Technologists’ 36th annual Governance and House of Delegates meeting, Daniel DeMaio, M.Ed., R.T.(R)(CT), was elected speaker of the House. Shellie Pike, M.S.R.S., R.R.A., R.T.(R)(CT), was elected vice speaker of the House.

This is DeMaio's first term as speaker. He formerly served two terms as vice speaker. DeMaio is director of the radiologic technology program at the University of Hartford in West Hartford, Connecticut.

This is also Shellie Pike’s first term in the role of vice speaker. She serves as a registered radiologist assistant in the radiology department of Radiology Consultants of Iowa in Cedar Rapids.

DeMaio and Pike are members of the ASRT Board of Directors. They will manage the House of Delegates proceedings during the 2022 ASRT Annual Governance and House of Delegates Meeting.
