ASRT Online Advocacy Academy Graduates 20 Technologists

Sep 17, 2019

The ASRT Online Advocacy Academy, a 10-week intensive advocacy skills development program, just completed its 2019 session. During the academy, OLAA participants learned about advocacy strategic planning, ways to work with lawmakers, public relations techniques to further their advocacy message and methods to sustain advocacy efforts in their affiliate societies. Sharpening their skills by networking with their classmates on conference calls and online discussions, the graduates completed projects that could be immediately applied to current affiliate legislative and regulatory efforts.

ASRT members completing OLAA are: Pamela Bean, Florida; Denise Case, Utah; Jerri Doyle, Montana; Kathy Drotar, Florida; Elizabeth Eslich, Pennsylvania; Codi Francis, Montana; Nick Gimmi, Virginia; Nancy Godby, West Virginia; Elizabeth Gresey, Illinois; Kimberly Harn, Nevada; Sara Hilber, Wisconsin; Diane Hutton, Missouri; Carolyn Kiser Witt, Georgia; Jennifer Mashburn, Georgia; Helen Murphy, Washington; Kate Richmond, Indiana; Kayci Robinson, Wyoming; Jennifer Taylor, North Carolina; Daniel Vander Meulen, Wisconsin; and Melissa Wilson, Michigan.

Plans are in place to hold another ASRT Online Advocacy Academy in 2020. Application information will be posted on the ASRT website in March.
