In partnership with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, the ASRT Foundation oversees the ARRT Professional Education and Growth Grant program, the purpose of which is to award at least one recipient per active affiliate each year up to $500 as reimbursement for the cost of CE, educational conferences or products, or ARRT primary or secondary certification exams.
Meet the 2024-25 ARRT Professional Education and Growth Grant recipients.
Applications closed Aug. 10. Thank you for applying!
The grant program is funded by ARRT to support continuing education and professional development for radiologic technologists, radiation therapists and sonographers. Education is the first of the three components of the ARRT Equation for Excellence (education, ethics and examination). Education and development are important prior to earning initial and postprimary certification, but also throughout a professional’s career to help keep knowledge and skills up to date in an ever-advancing health care industry.
To apply, program applicants must:
ARRT Board of Trustees, ARRT staff, ASRT Board of Directors, ASRT Foundation Board of Trustees, and ASRT staff are not eligible to apply to the program. However, affiliate leaders are eligible.
This award has no cash value and is nontransferable.
The purpose of this grant program is to award at least one recipient per active affiliate each year up to $500 as reimbursement for the cost of CE, educational conferences or products, or ARRT primary or secondary certification exams. One recipient from each state will be selected from eligible applicants.
Applicants must agree to join the ASRT and ASRT state affiliate if selected as a recipient in order to receive reimbursement funds. Recipient may also obtain reimbursement for an affiliate membership (new or renewal) through this program in addition to the $500 grant.
Applicants are required to submit a short essay answering the following question: “How does acquiring and maintaining ARRT certification and registration improve patient care?” All essays must be original and created by the applicant. Essays must not incorporate or include anything that violates any copyright, trademark, publicity right, privacy right or any other right of any third party. By applying to this program, all applicants accept any and all release stipulations from the ARRT, ASRT and ASRT Foundation to publish content from the applicant's essay, as well as applicant’s name, city and state. Please note: Applicants do not have to be recipients of the program for their information to be used for the purpose of marketing or promotions.
