TThe International Collaborative Research Grant supports medical imaging and radiation therapy professionals aspiring to partner internationally to conduct a scientific research project in radiologic technology. Our goal is to enhance the profession’s body of knowledge and promote international research collaboration.
A researcher must identify and collaborate with an international researcher to complete a research project within a maximum time frame of two years. One researcher, identified as the principal investigator, must be an ASRT member from the U.S. Either a U.S.-based researcher or an international researcher may submit the initial application, but they must be paired with a research partner at the time of the full proposal submission. If you are having trouble finding a research partner, please contact [email protected] and we can take steps to help you connect internationally.
In addition to the research study, the research findings will be submitted for publication in the peer-reviewed journals of both researchers’ institutions and submitted for presentation at their annual conferences. Funding up to $50,000 will be awarded for each approved research project.
All researchers, excluding co-investigators, must hold current medical imaging or radiation therapy credentials in their respective country, have been a PI on at least one prior research study and have at least three consecutive years of membership with their respective society that has not lapsed at the time of funding. Membership must be maintained for the duration of the project.
