ASRT Foundation Awards Travel Grants to Four Members

The ASRT Foundation selected four ASRT members as recipients of the 2026-2027 Travel Grant Award made possible by contributions to the ASRT Foundation. The Foundation encourages radiologic technologists to continually expand their knowledge by learning from the expertise and experience of others in the profession. Recipients are awarded up to $3,000 each to attend an ASRT conference of their choice. The funds cover the registration fee for the conference plus travel and lodging for the recipient.

Congratulations to the 2026-27 Travel Grant Award recipients:

Anthony Dotson, M.S., R.T.(R)(CT), CRA, is an associate professor for the radiologic science radiography program at Morehead State University in Kentucky and is certified in radiography and computed tomography. He plans to attend the ASRT Educational Symposium and Annual Governance and House of Delegates Meeting, June 24-27, 2027, in Orlando, Florida. “Attending this conference will allow me to integrate current best practices, emerging trends and innovative educational strategies into curriculum design, classroom instruction and faculty development initiatives,” said Dotson.

Jameson McKee, R.T.(R), is a radiologic technologist at MountainView Hospital in Las Vegas. McKee will attend the Radiological Society of North America annual meeting and ASRT@RSNA in Chicago, Nov. 29-Dec. 3, 2026. “I look forward to learning about how new technologies and innovations continue to shape our profession. Through the experiences shared by the presenters and other conference attendees, I will introduce what I’ve learned to my hospital to expand our department’s proficiencies,” said McKee.

Starla Merrifield, R.T.(R)(CT), CRA, is an imaging services manager at Mon Health Marion Neighborhood Hospital in White Hall, West Virginia. Merrifield will attend the ASRT Educational Symposium and Annual Governance and House of Delegates Meeting, June 24-27, 2027, in Orlando, Florida. “I’m especially excited for the opportunity to deepen my knowledge of imaging informatics, leadership and emerging industry trends, while connecting with professionals who share a dedication to excellence,” said Merrifield.

Julia Wolfe, A.A., R.T.(R)(N)(CT), is a molecular imaging clinical education specialist for Siemens Healthineers. Wolfe will attend the Radiological Society of North America annual meeting and ASRT@RSNA in Chicago, Nov. 29-Dec. 3, 2026. “I am thrilled for the opportunity to explore new innovations in medical imaging,” said Wolfe.
